Re: how many enochian calls do you have memorized?
Sun, November 27, 2005 - 1:41 PMOkay. I set aside time today and almost made it through one today. Yeesh.
Question being, which pronunciation do you use? Makes a big difference in the flow and the ease of memorization...

Sun, November 27, 2005 - 1:47 PMi've been basing mine on the donald laycock guide at the bottom of biphome.spray.se/d.scot/En...n/pron.htm i've been trying to go with an elizebethian english that sounds like singing :-) (and yes i have no idea what that _means_ !) -

Re: how many enochian calls do you have memorized?
Sun, November 27, 2005 - 2:46 PMThis seems to be an incomplete copy of the same tri partite essay at www.hermetic.com/browe-arc...callsa.htm
Elizabethan english that sounds like singing?? Hmm. Maybe watching Elizabeth a lot would help. Bwah!
We'll have to start a learning language course on enochian- compelte with match your vocal patterns onscreen with the Elizabethan singing voice for accuracy.....
Crowley's Enochian calls are fun to listen to. Too bad (will I be shot for this?) his recorded voice doesn't command the respect I had expected.
Now, is it actual singing? Plainchant? Sprechstimme? Hmm. So many variations.... -

well...crowley's voice sounds that way because at the time it was recorded (on waxed cylinders) there were no true bass and treble controls to accurately record anyone's actual sounding voice. that is why many recordings of that time sounded so tinnish or high pitched. only a certain audio range was being recorded.

Thu, January 25, 2007 - 3:21 PMI belong to the yaho group for Enochian. I recently read that a person had two keys in two differant languages memorized.

Re: how many enochian calls do you have memorized?
Sat, September 22, 2007 - 2:41 PMI don't have the table in front of me, but I know that - depending on your ritual - only one or two (or three?) calls are used. Aren't one or both of the first or second keys used for almost every ritual? So, start on those. Frankly, I think I'd learn them in English first. That way, you know what's being said. Then start working on the Enochian. Go one sentence at a time. Memorize it, and spend the next day or two walking around, repeating it in your mind and ocassionally out loud. Before long, you'll have it all memorized and you'll be amazed. :-)
